This week we had the pleasure to speak with a mother wearing many hats, Christine Llewellyn who is also the founder of Christine Joy Designs. She shared her thoughts with us on the great things of motherhood. Read more to see what she said:
Being a mother is simultaneously the most rewarding and challenging thing I’ve ever done. Seeing my babies transform into these little people – seemingly overnight – with their own opinions, ideas, likes and dislikes has been unbelievably fulfilling. I love being able to shape their thinking but also allow them to come into their own. Becoming a mother instantly connected me to millions of other women around the globe who share this important journey. No matter what your ethnicity, economic status or religious affiliation, at the end of the day all Moms have many of the same dreams, hopes and concerns when it comes to their children. It’s really a beautiful thing to be a part of that shared experience.
—Christine is a Brooklyn-based surface pattern and product designer that specializes in the home goods market. When she’s not designing, she loves spending time with her husband, two children, and perpetual puppy, Bobby.
